Operational protocols, security standards, and market mechanics. Consult this database before initiating support tickets. All procedures are designed to maximize anonymity and transaction success rates on DarkMatter Market.
01 // Platform Integrity & Access
DarkMatter Market is a next-generation decentralized marketplace built on a Monero-only framework. Unlike legacy markets, DarkMatter employs a modular server architecture designed to resist correlation attacks and maximize uptime (99.2% availability).
We prioritize "Security by Design," enforcing strict PGP encryption for all sensitive data and utilizing a headless wallet system for fund management.
Authenticity verification is mandatory for operational security. Every official DarkMatter mirror serves a cryptographically signed message. You must import our public PGP key and verify this signature.
If the signature is valid, you are connected to the genuine infrastructure. If verification fails, disconnect immediately. The primary node is kb3qxip7bvh6rgfre7h7gcxth2bf7ezo5tubp3a5cdef2pboc3bpdtad.onion.
A warrant canary is a regularly updated message signed by the site's PGP key, confirming that the administrators have not been compromised, arrested, or served with a warrant. DarkMatter updates its canary every 14 days. Always check the footer date or the /canary page before depositing funds.
02 // Financial Protocols
Bitcoin and other transparent blockchains are surveillance tools. Every transaction is traceable on a public ledger. DarkMatter enforces Monero to protect user sovereignty.
Monero uses Ring Signatures to hide the sender, Stealth Addresses to hide the receiver, and RingCT to hide transaction amounts. This creates an opaque financial layer essential for darknet commerce.
We utilize a standard escrow model. When an order is placed, funds move from your wallet to a secure market multisig wallet. The vendor sees the order but cannot access the funds.
Funds are released only when you mark the order as "Finalized" or after the Auto-Finalize timer expires. If an issue arises, you can "Dispute" the order, which locks the funds and summons a moderator for arbitration.
DarkMatter does not charge deposit fees. Buyers pay 0% commission on purchases. Vendors pay a sliding scale commission (4% to 2%) based on vendor level. Withdrawals incur a dynamic network mining fee (usually < $0.05 equivalent) to ensure rapid confirmation on the Monero blockchain.
03 // Vendor & Order Operations
The Auto-Finalize timer is a failsafe to ensure vendors are paid if a buyer goes inactive. The standard timer is 14 days for physical goods and 48 hours for digital items. You can request a timer extension if shipping is delayed. Once the timer hits zero, funds are released irreversibly.
Manual PGP encryption is required for 100% security. Import the vendor's public key (found on their profile) into your PGP client (Kleopatra/GPG). Encrypt your address block with their key. Paste the resulting ASCII armored text block into the order notes.
Warning: Never send cleartext addresses. While we offer an "Auto-Encrypt" checkbox, client-side manual encryption is the only way to ensure the server never sees your data.
Vendor Bond: A refundable deposit of 2.00 XMR is required to open a vendor account. This filters out low-effort scammers.
Prohibited Items: We maintain strict ethical guidelines. No CP, no fentanyl/analogues, no weapons/explosives, no hitman services, no poisons. Violation results in an immediate account ban and forfeiture of funds.
